2018-2019 Housing Application Formally Opens for New Freshman!

February 27, 2018

2018-2019 Academic Year online application formally opens at 3pm on February 27 for New Freshmen who have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2017-2018 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, you will not be able to access the application portion of the site until your admit status is updated in the campus system. Your HSU User Name and password will log you into your myHousing account. To ensure your best opportunity to secure on-campus housing and to be assigned to your preferred location, you must submit the completed application and pay a $200 nonrefundable application fee. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and payment are received. When you move on campus, $100 will be applied to a security deposit and $100 will be applied towards your first Housing payment. Should you submit the application materials and later decide to cancel, you are bound by the cancellation policy.  Space is limited and we do not guarantee housing. The first 800 freshman to apply will be able to select their own room online in April. More information will be sent to these students early April.

Online application opens for New Transfers and Continuing students at 9am at myhousing.humboldt.edu. Students must have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2018-2019 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, you will not be able to access the application portion of the site until your admit status is updated in the campus system. Your HSU User Name and password will log you into your myHousing account. When you move on campus, $100 will be applied to a security deposit and $100 will be applied towards your first Housing payment. 2018-2019 Housing Application Formally Opens for Returners!

March 1, 2018

2018-2019 online application for returners will be available on March 1 at 9am. Students interested in returning to the residence halls can complete the housing application online at myhousing.humboldt.edu. We have limited availability for housing for returning students. Returning residens will have until March 19 to complete their application and particpate in the lottery. Information regarding the returner application process will have been distributed in February.

Spring Break

Spring Break is March 10 - March 18. The halls are open, however, the J will be closed and on-campus dining options are limited.

Payment Due for Monthly & Financial Aid PLUS Payment Plans (March)

Payment due for Monthly and Financial Aid PLUS Payment Plans. Amounts will vary according to room assignment and meal plan selected. Refer to your Student Center account for your specific payment amounts and payment due dates. All residents on all payment plans must be paid in full for the spring semester in order to sign up for fall classes or order transcripts.

Returner Housing Application and $200 Nonrefundable Application Fee for 2018-2019 Due by Noon!

All residents interested in returning to the residence halls must submit their application and $200 nonrefundable application fee by noon in order to participate in the lottery. In order to qualify for the lottery, residents also must have paid their 2017-2018 room and board fees in full by noon and have a positive conduct record.

Returner Lottery Times Posted in myHousing or Waitlist Notices Emailed

March 22, 2018

Lottery times posted in myHousing or waitlist notices will be emailed. Please sign into your myHousing account after 5pm on March 22 to see your lottery timeslot. The lottery time is listed in the Application Menu below the menu item "Room Selection." For those not included in the lottery, a wait list notice will be sent via email.

New Room Selection Day for Returners

April 5, 2018

Residents selected in the lottery to return to the residence halls for 2018-2019 will have an assigned time to select their room for the next academic year from any available space. Room assignments for the 2018-2019 academic year are then emailed to residents by the end of May. Students will be able to sign into their myHousing account through April 11 to make changes to their room selection. After April 11, please contact the Housing Office to be on a wish list to move to another area.

Priority Deadline for Housing Assignments - New Students

April 6, 2018

Deadline to submit completed application and $200 nonrefundable application fee for first run of fall room assignments for New Freshman, New Transfers and Continuing students. Room assignments and payment plans or wait list notifications will be emailed in late May. Applications submitted after this date in April will be processed in July and room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in July and early August.

Summer Housing Application Opens

The 2018 Summer Housing application opens at 9am on April 9 for students who have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the Summer session or 2018-2019 academic year. You must be admitted and in good standing or you will not be able to access the application portion of the site. Your HSU user name and password will log you into your myHousing account. You must submit the completed application and pay a $200 nonrefundable application fee. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and payment are received. When you move on campus, $100 will be applied to a security deposit and $100 will be applied towards your summer Housing payment. If you currently are resident then the $200 will be applied towards your summer housing payment.
