2020-2021 Housing Application Formally Opens for New Freshmen!

February 25, 2020

2020-2021 Academic Year online application formally opens at 3pm on February 25 for New Freshmen who have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2020-2021 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, you will not be able to access the application portion of the site until your admit status is updated in the campus system. Your HSU User Name and password will log you into your myHousing account. To ensure your best opportunity to secure on-campus housing and to be assigned to your preferred location, you must submit the completed application and pay a $200 nonrefundable application fee. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and payment are received. When you move on campus, your application fee will be applied towards your first Housing payment. Should you submit the application materials and later decide to cancel, you are bound by the cancellation policy.  Space is limited and we do not guarantee housing. The first 700 freshmen to apply will be able to select their own room online in April. More information will be sent to these students early April.

Online application opens for New Transfer and Continuing students at 9am at myhousing.humboldt.edu. Students must have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2020-2021 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, you will not be able to access the application portion of the site until your admit status is updated in the campus system. Your HSU User Name and password will log you into your myHousing account. To ensure your best opportunity to secure on-campus housing and to be assigned to your preferred location, you must submit the completed application and you will need to pay a $200 nonrefundable application fee. When you move on campus, the application fee will be applied towards your first Housing payment. Should you submit the application materials and later decide to cancel, you are bound by the cancellation policy. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and payment are received. Space is limited and we do not guarantee housing. The first 200 transfer students to apply will be able to select their own room online in April. More information will be sent to these students early April.

2020-2021 Housing Application Formally Opens for Returners!

February 27, 2020

2020-2021 online application for Returning Residents will be available on February 27 at 9am. Students interested in returning to the residence halls can complete the housing application online at myhousing.humboldt.edu. Housing will be first come, first serve for returning residents. The first 700 to complete their application, with a positive student conduct record, and their current year housing and meal plan charged paid in full will be able to select their room. Returning residents who complete their application by March 24 will get their room selection timeslot or guarantee on March 27. Information regarding the returner application process will be distributed in February.

Payment Due for Installment Payment Plans

March 15, 2020

Payment due for Installment Payment Plan. Amounts will vary according to room assignment and meal plan selected. Refer to your Student Center account for your specific payment amounts and payment due dates. All residents on all payment plans must be paid in full for the spring semester in order to sign up for fall classes or order transcripts.

Spring Break

March 16, 2020

Spring Break is March 16 - March 20. The halls are open, however, the J will be closed and on-campus dining options are limited.

Returner Housing Application Priority Deadline

March 24, 2020

All residents interested in returning to the residence halls should submit their application and $200 nonrefundable application fee by the March 24 the priority deadline to receive a room selection timeslot or guarantee email on March 27th. 

Returner Room Selection Timeslot or Guarantee Emails

March 27, 2020

Residents who completed their application by the March 24th priority deadline, will receive their room selection timeslot or guarantee notification email. Please sign into your myHousing account after 5pm on March 27 to see your room selection timeslot. The room selection time is listed in the Application Menu below the menu item "Room Selection." For residents who were not one of the first 700 to complete their application, and don't receive a room selection time, they will receive a guarantee email.

New Room Selection Day for Returners

April 7, 2020

The first 700 Residents to complete their Housing application for 2020-2021 will have an assigned time to select their room for the next academic year from any available space. Room assignments for the 2020-2021 academic year are then emailed to residents by the end of May. Students will be able to sign into their myHousing account through April 9 to make changes to their room selection. After April 9, please contact the Housing Office to be on a wish list to move to another area.

Summer Housing Application Opens

April 8, 2020

The 2020 Summer Housing application opens at 9am on April 8 for students who have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the Summer session or 2020-2021 academic year. You must be admitted and in good standing or you will not be able to access the application portion of the site. Your HSU user name and password will log you into your myHousing account. You must submit the completed application and pay a $200 nonrefundable application fee. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and payment are received. When you move on-campus, your application fee will be applied towards your summer housing charges. 

Priority Notification Deadline for Housing Assignments - New Students

April 10, 2020

Deadline to submit completed application and $200 nonrefundable application fee for first run of notifications for New Freshmen, New Transfers and Continuing students. Room assignments and payment plans or wait list notifications will be emailed in late May. Applications submitted after this date in April will be processed in July and room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in July and early August.
