Theme & Learning Community Housing

Finding Common Ground

Another perk of living at Humboldt is the option to live in a residence hall organized around a particular academic, cultural, or personal interest. Academic Intensive Living, for instance, provides an atmosphere that encourages scholastic achievement and respect for individual academic goals. Sankofa House is intended for students with an interest in exploring Black culture, history, identity, and African diasporic intellectual traditions.

Explore our vast offering of Theme, Cultural, and Living Learning Communities below. If you are interested in living in one of these communities, please indicate your preferences for Theme & Living Learning Community Areas when you complete the Housing application online.

If you are interested in living in Rainbow/Gender Inclusive, Sankofa House, Native American Living, La Comunidad or Students for Violence for Violence Prevention, you will need to complete additional questions in your Housing Application for approval to live in those communities.

Every year our communities change. If you are an Humboldt staff, faculty, or administrator, and are interested in starting your own community, please email reslife@humboldt.edu. Beginning in March, you can find out what Theme & Learning Community Housing will be offered for the following Fall.
