Can I use a personal wireless router, extender or network switch?

They can cause network problems, interfere with the residence hall enterprise wireless system and can pose a security risk. If any such network devices are discovered on the network, they will be blocked from accessing the network. Please refer to the ResNet Acceptable Use Policy for the full list of policies.

I'm living in the Campus Apartments. What do I need to know?

What is Policy Key? Is it safe to install?

The Policy Key client is a small application that is required to install on your Mac or PC in order to connect you to the Internet through ResNet. The Policy Key validates that your system meets the network's security standards, such as having an anti-virus program installed with up-to-date definitions, automatic updates enabled for your OS, and no Peer-to-Peer (P2P) programs installed. This ensures a safe environment for all ResNet users. Please contact our Help Desk if you have trouble installing it.
